How does the Mezcal & Tequila Tasting in Hamburg work?
To start, we enjoy an aperitif cocktail with a very special reference to mezcal and tequila history. Our journey takes us to Oaxaca, the famous place of origin of many high-quality mezcals.
Three unique tequilas and three mezcals await you - each of them exciting and different. They range from a fresh Blanco to a spicy Reposado.
Learn all about the history of mezcal and tequila, how they are made and how they became world-famous spirits. No tequila without mezcal - we explain what you need for the perfect flavour experience. Did you know that agaves are not cacti, but asparagus plants? And that there are both small and large agave species that are used for different varieties?
A small finger food in the form of bread, olives and crisps is available to satisfy your appetite in between meals.
We also mix a final farewell drink for you to round off the day.

Which mezcals and tequilas will be tasted?
When selecting the six agave spirits, we try to take into account the different styles and the different types of agave that produce the unique flavour profiles. We also want to reflect the history of these spirits. No two Tequila & Mezcal are the same.
The production process is also special - some mezcals are made in traditional clay ovens and there are even varieties that are flavoured with chicken breast (pechuga). We also explain the myth of the worm in mezcal and why it can be found in some bottles.
