THE STORYTELLER
MARC ALBRACHT
Raised in the beautiful Münsterland region, Marc came into contact with the hospitality industry at an early age. It was in a small wine cellar in Telgte that he discovered his passion for fine spirits.
Following his growing love for cocktails and distilled drinks, he moved to his adopted home of Hamburg, where he trained as a hospitality professional and bartender.

From luxury hotels to vibrant scene bars, Marc has gathered a wealth of experience along his career path.
Renowned establishments such as Louis C. Jacob, Park Hyatt, and Sheraton on the Park in Sydney now form the foundation of “stories to drinks.”
His constant quest: uncovering the stories behind exceptional cocktails and fine spirits.
Mission: With a generous dose of fun and charm, Marc’s goal is to guide people into the world of spirits – sharing their fascinating stories and remarkable diversity.

THE MULTI-TALENT
MARTIN GIVING
At the young age of twelve, Martin ran his very first Tiki bar at a school party – alcohol-free, of course. This was the starting signal for a career in hospitality that began early on. After completing his training as a hotel specialist at the Park Hyatt in Hamburg – where his path first crossed with Marc’s – he moved on to join the pre-opening team of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Vienna. From there, he headed to Berlin, where he spent two and a half years behind the bar of the legendary Curtain Club at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Potsdamer Platz. Eventually, he was given the opportunity to join the opening team of Hotel THE FONTENAY in Hamburg as Assistant Bar Manager. Less than two years later, the bar was named “Hotel Bar of the Year” in 2020 by Mixology and Falstaff magazines.
COACH & BAR SCENE
Alongside his work, Martin has been active as a coach and consultant for various hospitality projects. Today, thanks to his expertise, he works for a major wine and spirits importer, supporting and connecting Hamburg’s bar scene. After many guest appearances at Tins & Tales, he is now a permanent member of the team.
His mission: to show people why quality spirits and great drinks are worth their price, and what truly makes a good bar. It’s about understanding both the guest’s perspective and the role of the host in everyday life.

How long does a tasting at Tins & Tales take?
Our spirit tastings typically last 2.5 to 3 hours – enough time to delve deep into the world of a spirit and hear the odd story too.
Do I need prior knowledge?
No – and we mean it. Our spirit tastings and cocktail classes are designed so that beginners and connoisseurs alike will take something away. Curiosity is enough.
Where do the tastings take place?
In our tasting room at the Deichstraße 36, 20459 Hamburg – directly opposite the award-winning bar, The Bohemian. Those who wish can seamlessly continue their evening there.
Can I book a tasting or a cocktail making class as a gift?
Yes! Our spirit tastings and cocktail classes are the perfect gift experience – because they offer something that lasts longer than a bottle. Vouchers can be selected upon booking.
