How does the gin tasting in Hamburg work?

To start, we enjoy an aperitif cocktail with a very special reference to the history of gin.

Five unique gin and tonics served by a professional bartender - each one exciting and different.

Find out all about the history of gin, how it was created and how it became a global spirit. No gin without tonic water - we explain what you need for the perfect gin and tonic.

A small finger food in the form of bread, olives and crisps is available to satisfy your appetite in between meals.

We also mix a final farewell drink for you to round off the day.

How long does the gin tasting in Hamburg last?

The duration of the tasting is approx. 3 hours, sometimes a little longer depending on the group dynamics

Which gins and tonic waters are tasted?

When selecting the five gins, we try to take into account the different styles and the various botanicals. We also want to reflect the history of this spirit. No two gins are the same.

The tonic is not neglected either and we will mix three different and suitable tonic waters with the gin. We will experience how different our gin & tonic can taste thanks to the choice of tonic water.

How much does a gin tasting cost?

The price for the gin tasting is €69 per person. This includes five different gins with tonic water. In addition, an aperitif in the context of the gin world and a farewell cocktail at the end.

Where do the gin tastings take place in Hamburg?

Our bar for the gin tastings is the Klinker restaurant on Hoheluft Bridge. The location is just a 2-minute walk from the Hoheluftbrücke U3 underground station and is perfectly connected.

It may occasionally happen that our Tasting & Workshops take place at a different location. You will be informed of the exact location at the latest with the reminder email approx. 1 week before the tasting. All locations are in the centre of Hamburg.
